| Is the city taking taxpayers for a ride?
Well, my soultion is take their free rides away and if they don't come in after hours when needed just fire them like I would of been fired. If our council and mayor had any backbone this is the action they would take. Maybe Judy can get this done as she seems to be the only one that really what to question this massive waste of free rides. O" when yoiu see a free city car or truck driving around take a look to make sure someone is not laying down in the back seat for an extra free ride on the taxpayers. I would also like to thank the Panagraph for their hard work in reporting this waste and being honest with us about city hall and trying to protect our tax money. " .
Seeing the combine from a different view
After the dash, the players got organized for passing and receiving drills. Michigan's Adrian Arrington, LSU's Early Doucet and Oklahoma State's Bowman didn't participate. Receivers ran quick out-routes to the sidelines that challenged them to pull in the ball while concentrating on getting two feet down in bounds. The quarterbacks' arm strength was tested as they attempted to hit receivers in-stride on fly routes and stutter-and-go routes of at least 40 yards. Receivers ran short crossing routes to show how crisply they could break their routes for a quick-hit gain, while the quarterback's short-game precision and timing was tested. Medium post routes and curls were also part of the drills. But the most interesting drill was the gauntlet, where each receiver started on the near sideline and ran to the opposite sideline while being peppered by passes from five quarterbacks, three on one side and two on the opposite side at evenly-spaced intervals.

Gripe of the Week: 99 B-Line bus passups on January 29 equal volume of ...
The snowy morning of January 29 was not kind to transit riders. It was especially unkind to those, like this reporter, who chose to take the Über-busy 99 B-Line bus to work rather than risk a bicycle accident. What transpired at the intersection of Clark Drive and East Broadway was ugly. Time for a quick bus riders rewind… Around 8:30 a.m., rolling into the exposed bus shelter at Broadway and Clark, on the northwest corner of that intersection, it was strange to see people lined up behind the shelter, out of the view of the road. That is because the slush and muck of the slowly-melting ice and sludge was being sprayed all over us by every passing vehicle in the slow lane. People were covered in muck, and the 99s creaking to a halt were all packed full of people who got on at Commercial Drive.
Hayashi needs improvement
Kim Hayashi can do the math. The Chandler BMX rider is 24 points out of first place in USA Cycling rankings with six points events left to determine the team for the Beijing Olympics. It's next to impossible for her to make up that deficit and earn the automatic Olympic berth that goes to the points champion. A selection committee will choose the second U.S. woman rider for the sport's Olympic debut. The first qualifier race this year is at noon Friday at Estrella Mountain BMX track in Goodyear. The National Bicycle League Coyote Nationals, not part of Olympic qualifying, are Saturday and Sunday. .

When George stood up to Vlad over 'fantasy football' meddling I knew ...
He gathered the team and gave a speech, saying simply, 'Look guys, let's go and have some fun and get smiles back on our faces. You're all great footballers, just go and enjoy it and get moving in the league to challenge Celtic and Rangers'. I bumped into Jamie McAllister a few weeks after that. "I think the season before that he'd come in for criticism from the fans and wasn't really performing. Burley played him during the rebuilding phase and I asked Jamie what the difference was. He said two words: 'George Burley.' He said George had made him believe in himself again."Burley just has this uncanny ability to make people feel they are better than perhaps even they believe they are. Kevin Keegan is similar and I don't think it's something you can learn, you just have it."Look at George's work with Roman Bednar.
